Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: 7 October 2026
FastStart Online is paid through affiliate links. This page sets out what that means in practice, what it does and does not influence, and where the boundary is drawn.
The arrangement
One product named in this library, Raid: Shadow Legends, is one FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. has a paid commercial relationship with. Where a link to it appears here, it is an affiliate link: when a reader follows it, registers on the vendor's landing page and installs the game, the affiliate network operating the link records the referral and FRESH POINT spol. s r.o. is paid a commission out of the vendor's marketing budget.
Nothing is added to the reader's cost. The game, its terms and its prices are what they would be for someone who typed the vendor's address directly, and a reader who prefers to do that loses nothing but the commission this site would earn. The link is a paid link, not a discount or a referral code.
Commission is earned on a registration and install, not on a purchase. This site is not paid more if a reader later spends money inside the game, and does not know whether they do.
How the links are marked
Every affiliate link carries three markers: it is marked in the page's code as a sponsored link, a note beside it says it is paid and that commission is earned, and this page explains the arrangement, linked from every footer and from the homepage disclosure box.
Affiliate links appear on three pages: the homepage, Desktop play, and Raid: Shadow Legends at a glance. No other link on the site is paid. Links to the ACCC, the Classification Board, the OAIC, the eSafety Commissioner, the ACSC and Scamwatch are ordinary links to public bodies, and no money moves in connection with any of them.
What the commission does not decide
The honest way to describe a conflict of interest is to say what it could distort, and then what prevents it.
It does not decide what the library covers. Entries exist because a reader would need the concept explained before answering a practical question — how a randomised draw behaves, what a purchase buys, what a classification does and does not tell them. Several entries are of no commercial use whatever.
It does not decide the order of anything. The index is alphabetical. There is no ranking, no scoring and no comparison of products against each other, which removes the format in which a paid preference is usually expressed.
It does not decide what an entry says. The entry about the product this site is paid to link to is built only from the vendor's published description, and everything the vendor does not state — prices, odds, requirements, account options — is listed as not stated rather than filled in from a guide or a community post. That restriction costs the page a great deal of useful-looking content, and it is why the page can be trusted.
It does not buy a recommendation. This site does not say that any game is the best of its kind, does not score games, and does not tell any reader to install anything. It describes a category and one product in it.
What does decide it
Coverage is decided by the editorial method set out under “How entries are chosen and maintained” on About this site: a concept earns an entry when a reader needs it to answer a real question and no accessible explanation exists; claims about Australian rules are linked to the body that publishes them or written as general guidance; claims about products come from the vendor's own material with the gaps left visible; and entries are reviewed quarterly and whenever a source is reissued.
The test applied before an entry is published is whether it would still be worth reading with every affiliate link stripped out. An entry that fails that is not an entry; it is an advertisement, and it does not go up.
Why this is disclosed at this length
Readers in Australia are entitled not to be misled about the commercial basis of what they are reading, and misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law, which the ACCC administers against publishers as well as sellers. A site earning commission while presenting itself as disinterested makes exactly the kind of representation that rule exists to prevent. Disclosing it plainly, beside the link and again here, is the minimum honesty requires.
